Writing is among one of the more isolating things I (love to) do, so I figured I'd try to create a new kind of peer writing group! I just ran a 10-week experiment of Writers Block, and it was promising enough that I'm going to keep it going :) *This is a new idea, so I expect to refine many aspects of it based on feedback from early members. If you're curious, I wrote up learnings from part 1 of the experiment here: https://www.workingtheorys.com/p/writers-block

- No formal background required, but ideally you've written before (even if not regularly). - Best for people looking to write longer form (e.g. blogs, essays, short stories) Current members have written about tech, startups, venture capital, art, science, culture, philosophy, and lifestyle. Some people write a lot and publish a regular newsletter and others write more adhoc — everyone aspires to write more consistently.

1. Share your drafts, one at a time. They can be new drafts or revisions of a previously shared draft (2-3 drafts should get you publish ready). We've built a custom web app! 2. When there are new drafts, we share them out to the group for people to read, give feedback, and get inspired. We follow a give feedback to get feedback model (this creates a culture of contributing, not just consuming). 3. Join a group chat with other active members. Meet others, share your published pieces, and chat about writing related topics in a private, casual setting with like-minded people.

$100 per year. P.S. This is equal to the experiment price, so we'll likely increase it later!
